AT&T has announced another increase in the price of its unlimited data plan, which is only available to existing grandfathered customers. Its cost is rising by $5, bringing the plan to $40 per month. The wireless carrier previously raised its price by $5 in February 2016.
Customers won't notice the change until March 2017.
Although it's an "unlimited" plan, AT&T throttles subscribers after they reach 22 GB of data usage in a given month. Between the throttling and the price hikes, it's clear AT&T would like customers to switch to a tiered plan.
