Android's Co-Founder Andy Rubin Working On A Modular Phone With Bezel-Less Design

Back in September last year, Google officially confirmed that its modular Project Ara smartphone project has been suspended. After creating Android operating system and leaving Google two years ago, Andy Rubin is now working on another big project that could change the smartphone industry.
According to a person familiar with the matter, he created a new startup called Essential Products Inc. that is working "a suite of consumer hardware products, including ones for the mobile and smart home." The startup has 40 people working on new devices, among which will be a high-end smartphone with large edge-to-edge bezel-less display and "the ability to gain new hardware features over time."
