After the costly Galaxy Note 7 incident, Samsung is carefully designing its successor. Not to make the same mistake twice, the company is considering using LG's battery for its Galaxy Note 8, and possible for a few other smartphones in its offering for 2017.
Nothing is finalized yet, but the deal seems likely according to information. If the deal really happens, the Note 8 will also be the first Samsung device that has an LG-made battery. The new device will also go through various testing to prevent anything similar from happening.
