New Details Reveal More About BlackBerry's Upcoming Smartphones




Both BlackBerry and TCL confirmed to unveil a new smartphone at CES 2017, but didn't say anything about it. Thanks to people familiar with the matter, we have now learned more about the upcoming BlackBerry-branded smartphone made in collaboration with its new hardware partner, TCL.
Dubbed BlackBerry Mercury, the phone is expected to feature a physical QWERTY keyboard with a built-in fingerprint scanner in the space bar. The display will be a 4.5-inch with 1,620 x 1080 pixels resolution according to a newly leaked screenshot, which results in a 420 ppi density. The same screenshot also reveals that the handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat.
