The FBI is investigating a series of hacks targeted at the US' Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), says Reuters. Hackers connected to the Chinese military are responsible, the FDIC believes. The cyberattacks began in 2010 and remained an issue for years. It wasn't until "at least" 2012 that the FDIC knew its systems were clean again. The government corporation continues to face data breaches each year, though not necessarily from China. The FDIC has been implementing superior security measures, such as more vulnerability scans, to deal with breaches. No comment about the investigation has come from the FBI.
