EU Approves Microsoft's $26B Acquisition Of LinkedIn

Microsoft's acquisition of business social networking service LinkedIn is expected to close in the coming days now that it's been approved by the European Union. The $26.2 billion deal was submitted to the EU in October following Microsoft's announcement of the acquisition in June.
Regulatory agencies in the US, Canada, and Brazil have already granted their approval.
To deal with antitrust concerns put forth by the European Commission, Microsoft agreed to let rival professional networking services integrate with Office and other Microsoft tools for the next five years. European PC companies must also have the option of not installing LinkedIn's app.
