Bitcoin has reached its highest valuation of all time. The world's most popular digital currency is now worth $14 billion based on a single Bitcoin value of $875, which is the current amount listed on the European Bitstamp exchange.
That's the most an individual Bitcoin has been worth since January 2014. It bounced back in recent months, having doubled from $435 just since earlier this year.
Activity from people in China has been particularly helpful in the currency's rise. A lot of people are using Bitcoin due to the existence of a weaker Chinese yuan.
