Apple To Start Manufacturing iPhones In India In 2017

India is a gold mine to smartphone manufacturers considering how many devices are sold in the country. Along with the country's initiative "Made in India," there is almost no company that doesn't want to manufacture their devices in India. Another reason why companies want to move its manufacturing to India is the very high import tax.
We had previously heard that Apple and Foxconn were thinking producing iPhones in India, and according to latest report by AppleInsider, that should happen in 2017. There are two rumoured date - one by the end of 2017 and the other in April.
While no commitment has been made, reports suggest that Apple has partnered with Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Wistron to assemble iPhones in Peenya, an industrial center in the city of Bengaluru.
