XFX has released Radeon RX 460 with passive cooling

Popularity fanless graphics cards has decreased markedly over the past few years, however, the desire to AMD and Nvidia to release more energy-efficient architecture is only growing. Radeon RX 460 by Hong Kong-based XFX is a good example of the "dying" kind of cards, designed especially for those who most appreciate the silence.

XFX Radeon RX 460 is equipped with four gigabytes of memory GDDR5 and massive radiator with a pair of heat pipes. It is worth noting that the heat from the power subsystem and memory chips is given only by the forces of the PCB, however, given the low consumption of the GPU Polaris 11, that should be enough. By the way, the new product also lacks the additional power connector.

According to the web edition Expreview, when the GPU temperature ranges from 33 to 62 the C, but it all depends on the air circulation in the body.

Unfortunately, it is unclear whether the fanless XFX will Radeon RX 460 outside of the Asian market, where it is available for about $ 150 .
