MSI has released motherboard X99A Tomahawk



MSI has expanded the range of top-level motherboards a new model called the X99A Tomahawk. As you might guess from the name, it is based on the Intel X99 chipset and supports processors as the structural LGA2011-3. New member of the Gaming lineup and, according to the manufacturer, is the ideal choice for high-end gaming systems.

MSI X99A Tomahawk is equipped with eight slots for DDR4 RAM (maximum capacity of 128 GB), three expansion slots for PCI Express 3.0 x16 and two PCI-E 3.0 x1. To drive provides ten SATA 6 Gb / s and one connector M.2, U.2 and SATA Express. Also worth noting is the audio subsystem based on the Realtek ALC1150 chip and two Gigabit network interfaces based on Intel I218LM I210AT and chips.


The rear panel has four ports USB 2.0, audio connectors, five USB 3.1 Type-A, a Type-C, UEFI-button reset, and one PS / 2 (combined) connector.
